Mr. WU Guilong currently serves as the Chancellor of USTB. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees from Tianjin University. For many years his work has involved the administration of governmental departments in the fields of science and technology. Wu has held the post of Deputy Director of the Office of Development, Department of Science and Technology, State Education Commission of the PRC; Deputy Director & Director of the General Office, Department of Science and Technology, State Education Commission of the PRC; Director of the High-tech Division, Department of Science and Technology, Ministry of Education of the PRC; Deputy Director-General of the Department of Science and Technology, Ministry of Education of the PRC; and Chancellor of Jiangnan University.

Mr. WU Guilong has served as the Chancellor of USTB since May 2016.
