The “Highly Cited Chinese Researchers" list mainly counts institutions in China (Mainland) sign authors whose results of scientific research were published in the Scopus database, and whose current workplace is in China (including non-Chinese and ethnic Chinese scholars). The results of scientific research published by scholars as the first author or corresponding author are counted. The results of scientific research are classified by the Scopus - Ministry of Education first-level subject classification system. The number of scholars listed in each discipline is related to the number of authors signed by Chinese institutions in Scopus. Scholars in this list require three conditions: more than one indexed document (not include one indexed document), the total number of citations reaches the threshold of the discipline, and at least have one of the world's top 1% most cited documents or to be as the first author or the corresponding author's FWIC (Field-Weighted Citation Impact) is above 1.
