Under the requirements and deployment of the "Dual-carbon strategy," the participating team of USTB has developed a set of aluminum electrolysis industry energy consumption monitoring and management platforms composed of a "cloud-edge-end" three-layer architecture in view of the high energy consumption and high carbon emissions of the aluminum electrolysis industry. On the device side, we use self-developed sensor nodes to collect real-time data on the aluminum electrolysis process; on the edge side, we have independently developed an intelligent edge gateway to aggregate the data on the device side and report the data to the HUAWEI CLOUD platform, and on the application side, HUAWEI CLOUD services such as IoTDA, MySQL database, cloud ECS server, and data visualization are used to embed advanced control algorithms into related services to monitor and manage the energy consumption of the aluminum electrolysis process, helping to save energy and reduce consumption, improve quality and efficiency at industrial sites.

In recent years, USTB has actively built a competitive education platform with Huawei in conjunction with the "Cradle Cup" competition, jointly launched the "Cradle Cup" Huawei Industry Proposition Competition, meanwhile recommended projects to participate in various competitions held by Huawei, encouraging students to apply what they have learned and serve the needs of the industry. As Huawei's top developer competition in the ICT field, the Huawei Developer Competition aims to fully open Huawei's technological achievements in various fields to developers, solve problems, and create value with ICT technologies. With the theme of "Spark Infinity," the competition aims to stimulate the innovation potential of developers. The competition is divided into the China Student Track, the China Enterprise Track, and the Asia-Pacific Region and the China Student Track finally awarded 1 Gold Award, 2 Silver Awards, 3 Bronze Awards, and 2 Innovation Awards, and our team finally won the highest award in the track.
