The China Electronics Technology Group Visited USTB for Communication and Exchange

On March 8th, Mr. HAO Zhengjiang, Director of Strategic Planning Department of China Electronics Technology Group Co. Ltd (CETC), led a delegation to USTB for communication and exchange. Prof. SUN Jinghong, Vice Chancellor of USTB, and Prof. ZHANG Weidong, Vice President of USTB, attended the meeting, which was presided over by Prof. ZHANG Weidong.

Prof. SUN Jinghong extended a warm welcome to the visit of Mr. HAO Zhengjiang and his delegation and briefly introduced the overall situation of USTB. He indicated that there is a good foundation for cooperation between both sides. He hoped to carry out substantive communication further, fully utilizing each other's distinctive advantages and continuing to extend the depth and breadth of cooperation to promote the “Double First-class” construction of USTB and the high-quality development of CETC.

Prof. ZHANG Weidong thanked CETC for their support towards USTB. He said that USTB is promoting the coordinated and integrated development of education, science & technology, and talents. He hopes that both sides can further promote organized scientific research, project application, platform construction, and talent cultivation so as to achieve fruitful results.

Mr. HAO Zhengjiang introduced the historical development, industrial system, and development direction of CETC. He indicated that the CETC implements the spirit of President XI Jinping's important speech during his visit to the CETC Research Institute, developing more technological and engineering equipment and projects of great significance independently. He hopes to cooperate with USTB and complement each other's advantages, jointly contributing to the strategic needs of the country.

The participants exchanged views on the implementation of preliminary work and the subsequent deepening of cooperation.
