Prof. ZANG Yong currently serves as the Vice President of USTB. He received his master's degree in Metallurgical Engineering from USTB. Prof. Zang holds posts in other institutions including member of the National Technical Committees for the Standardization of Metallurgical Machinery, Deputy Director of the National Technical Committee on Steel Rolling, and senior member of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society. His research interests focus on nonlinear dynamics, and plastic processing technology and equipment. Prof. Zang has presided over 30 scientific and research projects, such as the State High-Tech Development Plan (863 Program), authored over 150 papers in core periodicals, edited 3 textbooks including “Design Method of Modern Machinery” and “Mechanical Behavior of Metallurgy Equipment”. He has presided over and participated in drafting a number of national and professional standards. Prof. Zang holds 4 national patents and has won 5 national and provincial awards, and was selected as a Youth Subject Leader of the Beijing Municipality. He served as the Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Director of the Office of Human Resources at USTB. He has received a special government subsidy of the State Council.
Since December 2017, he has served as the Vice President of USTB.
