USTB began to recruit international students in 1954 and is one of the first universities in China to recruit international students. Since 1954, USTB has recruited more than 8000 international students all around the world.

This is my second year pursuing a bachelor’s degree at USTB. With the support of my professors and teachers, I have become more confident. Through my experiences here, I have come to admire the richness and depth of Chinese culture and developed a strong interest in it

The Chinese Language Center delivers Chinese language courses to our students. The spring semester is from February to June. The fall semester is from September to January.Short-term programs varying from 1 week to 4 weeks are also available.
