In the report, XU Jifeng combined his own work to vividly elaborated technical issues related to the structure of civil aircraft. XU addressed that it usually takes more than ten years from program demonstration to putting into use of a new type aircraft. The design and manufacturing process of modern aircraft structures is a huge, complex, costly, and time-consuming system engineering, which involves a wide range of theoretical foundations and is extremely practical. From the aspects of material application, optimization design, strength analysis, process preparation, monitoring and maintenance, explained the key technical issues of civil aircraft structure design and manufacturing to the teachers and students.
