On July 15, Peter Harrison, Senior Vice President, Global Publishing of Physical Sciences at Elsevier, and a delegation of five visited University of Science and Technology Beijing . YANG Renshu, President of the university, and JIAO Shuqiang, Vice President, attended the meeting, during which both sides jointly signed a strategic cooperation memorandum. The symposium was chaired by Vice President JIAO Shuqiang.

YANG Renshu introduced the university’s latest strategic plans in disciplinary development, journal advancement, andinternational cooperation and exchange. He stated that the university will further unleash the potential of its advantageous disciplines and carry out cutting-edge academic content cooperation with Elsevier, so as to further enhance the university’s international academic influence.

Peter Harrison stated that Elsevier and University of Science and Technology Beijing have a solid foundation of cooperation. He noted that USTB possesses profound academic heritage and rich talent resources, and expressed the expectation that both sides will continue to strengthen cooperation in academic journal publishing, digital platform tools, and data analytics services across more disciplines.
