With the arrival of spring and renewed energy on the field, the University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB) Alumni Football Team officially launched its new season series of activities on March 1. The opening match featured an exciting face-off between the USTB Alumni Football Team and the USTB “Seven Wolves” Alumni Football Team.
Taking football as a bridge, alumni players from both sides showcased their skills and sportsmanship, reliving campus memories through dynamic play while strengthening the bonds of friendship.
USTB Alumni Football Team vs. USTB “Seven Wolves” Alumni Football Team
The “Seven Wolves” Alumni Football Team, the opponent in this opening match, is one of the most established and competitive teams within the USTB alumni football community. Founded in early 2001, the team is composed mainly of alumni from the classes of 1996 to 2004. During their time at USTB, its members achieved outstanding results and won multiple campus football championships.
On the field, both teams quickly found their rhythm, with fast-paced transitions between offense and defense. A series of impressive plays—including precise passing, skillful dribbling, and powerful shots—kept the match engaging throughout.
This year marks the third anniversary of the official establishment of the USTB Alumni Football Team. Since its founding, the team has brought together an ever-growing community of USTB alumni passionate about football, with more than 120 registered members today.
Guided by its mission to connect through football, strengthen alumni bonds, and promote shared development, the team warmly invites alumni football teams that were once active on campus to return to USTB for friendly matches and exchanges. Through the game, more alumni are encouraged to rediscover their passion, deepen friendships, and contribute to the continued growth of alumni football at USTB—ensuring that the spirit of camaraderie thrives on the pitch for years to come.
