“Handbook of Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia Exposure Prevention” Edited by Prof. DUAN Xiaoli Begins Publication

In order to improve people’s ability to protect themselves during the coronavirus epidemic, the “Handbook of Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia Exposure Prevention” was launched online for free by the China Environment Publishing Group. The Handbook was coedited by the Environmental Exposure and Health Center, School of Energy and Environmental Engineering, USTB, and the State Key Laboratory of Environmental Criteria and Risk Assessment, Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences.

During this critical period of preventing the spread of the epidemic, members of the Environmental Exposure and Health Center have faith in our ability to win the battle against the coronavirus. The head of the Center, Prof. DUAN Xiaoli, led their team to work together with Prof. ZHAO Xiaoli and a team from the State Key Laboratory of Environmental Criteria and Risk Assessment to create the Handbook. It is a collation of previously published epidemic prevention works coupled with each team’s own research. Unlike other epidemic prevention manuals, the Handbook offers more targeted and detailed guidance to four different groups of people based on their behavioral patterns and risks of exposure. Accordingly four editions were published, including Handbooks for College Students and Faculty, Environmental Protection-related Practitioners, Special Practitioners, and the General Public. The Handbook is now available to the public free of charge in an electronic format. (http://www.cesp.com.cn/cbfx/xstj/202002/t20200207_761777.html)
