USTB is committed to building itself into a high-level research-oriented university 

which attaches importance to novel scientific research and promotes independent innovation.

The 112th China Distinguished Materials Scientists Forum was held in the USTB, in which Dr. David Srolovitz, a member of the US National Academy of Engineering, delivered a themed report.

On the morning of April 22nd, the 1st Innovation Forum on Carbon Neutrality for Iron & Steel Industry was held in the USTB Auditorium & Staff Activity Hall.

The research results of a USTB team were published in the journal Science on March 24th, 2023, titled "Ferroelectricity in layered bismuth oxide down to 1 nanometer".
