Recently, Beijing Municipal Education Commission announced the winners of the 17th “Outstanding Teacher of Beijing” and the 5th “Young Outstanding Teacher of Beijing Colleges and Universities” awards. Four USTB teachers received the awards, including Prof. FENG Yanhui from School of Energy and Environmental Engineering; Prof. ZHAO Hailei from School of Materials Science and Engineering; Prof. WANG Jixia from School of Humanities and Social Sciences; and Prof. LIU Limin from School of Marxism Studies.
The purpose of the “Outstanding Teacher Award” and the “Young Outstanding Teacher Award” is to implement the spirit of the National Education Conference and the Beijing Education Conference, deepen education and teaching reform, promote the development of higher education, commend and reward full-time teachers who have long undertaken undergraduate teaching tasks, achieving good teaching results and received high evaluations from students and recognition by peer experts.
Prof. FENG Yanhui
FENG Yanhui, Professor and PhD supervisor. Her course “Heat and Mass Transfer (Bilingual)” was awarded as a high-quality undergraduate course in Beijing and a national excellent resource sharing course. The English textbook Heat and Mass Transfer: Fundamentals and Applications she edited won the National Education Teaching Achievement Award, Beijing Education Teaching Achievement Award, and Beijing University Teaching Innovation Award. She has been voted as “The most outstanding teacher in my heart” by students and received the Golden Medal for many times and has won many awards such as MOE(Ministry of Education) New Century Outstanding Talent, Outstanding Teacher of Beijing and Baosteel Outstanding Teacher, etc.
She has presided over more than 10 national scientific research projects, won the “National Excellent Youth Science Fund”, and won the first prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award (ranked 8th).
Prof. ZHAO Hailei
ZHAO Hailei, Professor and PhD supervisor. She has been awarded the MOE New Century Talents, Baosteel Outstanding Teacher, and Advanced Individual of Teacher Ethics in Beijing. Her undergraduate course “Solid Electrolytes” was awarded as a national bilingual teaching model course. She was selected as one of the “Excellent Video Classes” by the Ministry of Education for the “Introduction to Materials Course”. She has been voted as “The most outstanding teacher in my heart” and “My favorite teacher” for many times and won the Gold Medal Teacher Award. She is the panel member of China Society for Solid-State Ionic (CSSI), and the vice-director of Beijing Ceramic Society, China.
She is also a member of the editorial board of Chinese Journal of Engineering, Energy Storage Science and Technology, and Journal of Ceramics. She is mainly engaged in the research of energy storage and conversion. She has presided over the projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Key Research and Development, National High-tech R&D Program (863 Program), National Basic Research Program of China (973 Program), and international cooperation. She has been granted 72 international and national invention patents and published more than 260 SCI-indexed papers. She has been selected as one of Elsevier China’s highly cited scholars in the field of energy for 7 consecutive years from 2014-2020
Prof. WANG Jixia
WANG Jixia, Professor and PhD supervisor. Currently the Associate Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences of USTB. She is also the Director of China Administrative Law Society, Member of Penalty Committee of China Anti-Doping Agency, General Administration of Sport of China, and the Secretary General of China Regional and Administrative Legal Research Institute. She teaches courses such as Jurisprudence and Constitutional Law. She was awarded the first prize of the 8th Beijing Young Teachers’ Basic Skills Competition in the category of Literature and History in group A and was selected as advanced teacher moral individual and advanced worker, as well as in the Beijing Young Talent Program.
She has presided over three projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, more than 20 legislative projects entrusted by the State Council ministries and research centers such as the State General Administration of Sports, and participated in drafting a number of legislation such as the departmental regulations of the State General Administration of Sports “Anti-Doping Management Measures” and “Regulations on Major Procedures of the National Natural Science Foundation of China”, and published more than 20 papers in CSSCI journals such as “Law Science Magazine”, “Legal Forum” and “China Higher Education Research”. She has also published two books, Studies on the Implement Effect of Administrative Law and On the Legal Issues of Anti-Doping, and co-edited two national planning textbooks, including National Compensation Law.
Prof. LIU Limin
LIU Limin, Professor and PhD supervisor. Currently the Associate Dean of the School of Marxism Studies of USTB. She has been awarded the first batch of national teaching experts in ideological and political theory courses in colleges and universities, the first batch of special teachers in ideological and political theory courses in colleges and universities in Beijing, the first prize in the basic teaching skills competition in ideological and political theory courses in colleges and universities in Beijing, advanced workers in social practice in colleges and universities in Beijing, and famous teachers and advanced individuals in teaching ethics in USTB.
In 2020, her undergraduate course “Outline of Modern Chinese History” was selected as one of the first patch of national first-class courses; in 2012, she was selected as one of the first batch of “Teaching Backbone Talents” in USTB; in 2013, she was selected as one of the Young Talents in Beijing Universities; in 2014, she was selected by the Ministry of Education as one of the “Excellent Young and Middle-aged Teachers of Ideological and Political Theory Courses in National Universities”. Her main research direction are modern and contemporary Chinese history. She has presided over more than 10 projects of the National Social Science Foundation and MOE of China, published three books and translated one book, and published more than 30 papers.
