Associate Professor ZHANG Shaoqing Named a 2020 “Highly Cited Scientist”

Associate Professor ZHANG Shaoqing,of the School of Chemistry and Biological Engineering, USTB, has been mainly engaged in research concerning the design and preparation of organic polymer optoelectronic materials, performance optimization of photovoltaic devices and physical challenges in polymer optoelectronic materials. She has served as a sub-leader of a project under the National Natural Science Foundation of China. She also has applied for 7 invention patents. From 2015 to 2018, she designed organic photovoltaic devices which achieved world-record results in photovoltaic efficiency, andherresulting papers were selected to be part of "China's 100 Most Influential International Academic Papers". Such papers have been cited more than 10,000 times by others, with a H factor of 60. She has been selected as a "Highly Cited Scientist" by Clarivate for three consecutive years.

The number of scientists from the Chinese mainland on the list continued to increase sharply in 2020, rising from 636 (10.2%) in 2019 to 770 (12.1%) in 2020. The Chinese mainland surpassed the UK as the second most cited region for scientists in 2019, and in 2020, it was still in second place.
