Two Papers from the USTB SCCE were Selected as Excellent Papers by the China Association for Science and Technology

Recently, the Chinese Institute of Electronics, delegated by the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), released the results of the National Excellent Scientific Paper (Electrical, Electronic and Information Technology Cluster) selection. Under expert recommendation, network preliminary evaluation, and expert review, 10 excellent applied research papers were selected, including two papers from the USTB School of Computer and Communication Engineering (SCCE) named  A Novel Secure Data Transmission Scheme in Industrial Internet of Things and NOMA heterogeneous network resource allocation based on mobile edge computing. This is the first time that an excellent paper in the communication field of the university has been selected for the excellent paper selection program of the CAST, which is of great significance.


NOMA heterogeneous network resource allocation based on mobile edge computing was written by Prof. LONG Keping and Prof. ZHANG Haijun. This paper was published in  Journal on Communications in April 2020. Based on mobile edge computing technology, the paper optimizes the problem of base station user matching and power allocation in the scenario of a non-orthogonal multiple access heterogeneous network with cache, combined with messaging and DC planning, and proposes a non-orthogonal multiple access joint optimization algorithm, which effectively improves network performance. The information and communication industry is a strategic, basic, and leading industry for building a new national digital infrastructure, providing network and information services, and comprehensively supporting economic and social development. This study applies mobile edge computing to non-orthogonal multiple access heterogeneous network scenarios and improves network cache revenue and energy efficiency by matching user base stations and reasonably allocating power, which meets the needs of national information power and 5G+ industry. The results were supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the National Key Research and Development Program of China.


A Novel Secure Data Transmission Scheme in Industrial Internet of Things was completed by Prof. LIN Fuhong’s team and published in  China Communications in 2020. Aiming at the vulnerability of industrial IoT devices to malicious attacks, the paper presents a new secure communication scheme nonidentical based on the synchronization of fractional-order chaotic systems with different orders. It realizes heterogeneous fractional-order chaotic systems, ensures the security of industrial Internet of Things data transmission, and meets the requirements of industrial Internet of Things for low cost and high confidentiality of data transmission.


At the 2022 China Communications Society Global Scientist Blue Ocean Forum and China Communications Science and Technology Frontier Symposium held on December 16th, 2022, the paper stood out among more than 640 papers in China Communications in the past three years and won the only best paper award of China Communications in 2022. Up to now, the paper has been cited more than 170 times in Google and more than 90 times in SCI. ESI database statistics show that the paper has been selected as a highly cited paper many times.

It is reported that the selection plan for excellent scientific and technological papers is organized and selected by the CAST, aiming to implement the important instructions of President XI Jinping on running first-class academic journals, focus on the overall deployment of building an innovative country, encourage scientific and technological workers to publish more high-level research results in domestic journals, maintain the right to be the first publication of scientific and technological journals in China, master the leading right of academic evaluation, promote the high-quality development of China's scientific and technological journals from the source, and then enhance China's voice in the international scientific and technological community.
