On the morning of September 25th, the Zhongguancun Forum plenary meeting was held in Beijing. It was hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), the China Association for Science and Technology, and the People's Government of Beijing Municipality. The conference presented 150 awards of Beijing Science and Technology Awards, including 48 first prizes, 102 second prizes. 8 projects from USTB were listed, of which 4 received first prizes and 4 received second prizes.

The number and quality of the award reached a record high, which shows that in recent years, under the correct leadership of the Party committee and administration of the university, the teachers adhere to the "four orientations". They pass on the spirit of seeking truth and innovation, continue the development of steel, and reach the peaks of scientific and technological innovation. By doing so, USTB injects its strength into building a technology power. This reflects the responsibility of all teachers to "write papers down to earth", and contributes the wisdom of USTB to establishing the Beijing International Science and Technology Innovation Center.
