On September 9^th, Prof. YANG Renshu, President of USTB led a team to visit Changping Innovation Industrial Park and announced the adjustment of cadres of the Office of the General Management Committee of Changping Innovation Industrial Park and National Center for Materials Service Safety. Mr. ZHANG Weidong, Vice President of USTB; Mr. SHI Liwei, Deputy Director of Party School and Vice Minister of Organization Department; members of the Office of the General Management Committee; members of the National Center for Materials Service Safety; heads of relevant departments of USTB and heads of departments in the park attended the activity.

Chancellor of National Center for Materials Service Safety, Ms. XIA Xiuqin gave a speech. She expressed that she will study to integrate into the new position as soon as possible, in order to make greater contributions to the transformation of the National Center for Materials Service Safety and the construction of “Double First-class” university. Improving political awareness, strengthening political responsibilities, and motivates scientists’ work under the leadership of the Communist Party of China.

Mr. ZONG Yanbing, Director of the Office of the General Management Committee of Changping Innovation Industrial Park, expressed his firm support for the decision of the Party Committee of the School, and reviewed the development process of the Party Committee of the Park since its establishment 3 years ago under the strong leadership of USTB and under the guidance of the concept of “one family” with the key words of “gratitude, comfort and progress”. In the future, the Park will focus on the tasks of “service, security, and harmony”, adhere to the mission of “development for teachers and students”, and make contributions to the construction of the beautiful Park.

Mr. ZHANG Weidong put forward specific requirements for the Office of the General Management Committee of Changping Innovation Industrial Park and National Center for Materials Service Safety. He raised hopes for the General Management Committee from the aspects of managing and coordinating operations, providing supportive services, and expanding resources. He also raised hopes for the Party Committee of National Center for Materials Service Safety from the aspects of inspection and transformation.

President YANG Renshu gave a guidance speech and pointed out that over the past three years, since the establishment of the Party Committee of the Park, it has concentrated on the orientation of “A base for cultivating high-end talents, innovating science and technology, and transforming scientific and technological achievements”, adhered to the “family” working concept, making notable results in many aspects, such as: strengthing the leadership of the Party, promoting the construction work of the Park, carry out students’ political education, and implementing pandemic prevention and control.

In the future, he hoped that the General Management Committee continue to deepen the practice of the “family” working concept and contribute to the development of the Park, take advantage of the Park’s functional positioning as a large-scale platform to further improving the level of service for teachers and students. Subsequently, he put forward requirements to the next step of the construction of the National Center for Material Service Safety from three aspects: enhancing the Party’s political construction, leading the high-quality development of the National Center with high-quality Party construction, and building first-class installations and platforms.

Mr. CHEN Yulai, Chancellor of the Institute of Engineering and Technology and Mr. HE Wei, Dean of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence and other members of the leadership made statements successively, expressed their gratitude to the Party Committee of the Park for the well-rounded service and expressed that, they will practice the “family” working concept based on the platform of the Park, strive to make great contributions to the construction of the Park and serve USTB’s “Double First-Class” construction.

After the meeting, President YANG Renshu and his team visited the 2021 freshmen at the student dormitory district. Then, they investigated the construction of labs, classrooms, library, and other facilities and watched fire drill in the Park, attended the opening ceremony of the “Manjing Academic Exchange” and launched the activity of anti-fraud propaganda month in the Park. Finally, President YANG Renshu and his team inspected the construction of the west area at the Park.
