Advancing law-based governance is an essential requirement and important guarantee for socialism with Chinese characteristics as well as a profound revolution in China’s governance. Beijing Mock Trial Competition is a public welfare innovative practice activity for college students. Therefore, actively participating in this competition is a positive response to comprehensively advancing law-based governance, enhancing the concept of rule of law, and promoting the construction of a society ruled by law.

USTB has successfully held the Mock Trial Competition three times. On the one hand, this competition is an important way for law students to learn professional knowledge as well as a practical way towards professional positions. On the other hand, by virtue of competitions, those students not majoring in law can become familiar with the law, know the trial process, get close to the law, and improve their quality of rule of law. In order to promote learning and teaching through competitions, the School of Humanities and Social Sciences has built a publicity platform that combines the publicity and education of rule of law with the practice of rule of law, which has continuously set off a tide of legal knowledge popularization throughout the entire university.
