Ten international students from the University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB) went to the Weifang Binhai Economic & Technological Development Zone, Shandong Province, to have practical understanding about China's current development status and carry out social practice of innovation and entrepreneurship.

A USTB practice team of international students and teachers, held a seminar at Binhai Science and Technology Innovation Park. The participants watched the promotional film of Weifang Binhai New Area and discussed the policies and current situation of employment and entrepreneurship for international students in China. At the seminar, Mr. ZHANG Hu briefed the general situation of USTB and gave comprehensively introduced the education of international students in China from aspects of development history, management work, typical practices, and achievements. Mr. YANG Hui introduced the transportation, location, and industrial advantages of Binhai Economic & Technological Development Zone, and looked forward to the ways, methods, and visions of bilateral cooperation. Ms. MA Jing introduced the personnel introduction policy and employment and entrepreneurship support policy in Binhai Economic & Technological Development Zone, and explained the supporting policies in housing, education, and medical care in detail. Mr. LIU Yuelei, director of the Merchants Service Department, and Mr. LIU Wenquan, investment director of Weifang Zhongguancun Zhiku Technology Co., Ltd, answered questions about functions of the comprehensive bonded zone, employment and entrepreneurship policies for foreigners, and maker bases and so on.

The international students had a detailed exchange with the relevant staff of Binhai Economic & Technological Development Zone on visa application, employment and entrepreneurship policies, employment and entrepreneurship guidance and services, and participation in entrepreneurship competitions.

During the visit to ZGC Zhiku Talent and Technology Industry Innovation Base, Public Training Base and Weifang Binhai City Art Centre, the international student practice team had a comprehensive understanding of the development history, location advantages, development planning, cultural characteristics and entrepreneurial environment of Weifang Binhai Economic & Technological Development Zone.

Afterward, the international student practice team came to the China Yangjiabu Folk Arts Showplace to carry out traditional cultural experience activities. They were fascinated by Yangjiabu Woodcut New Year Painting, one of the three major woodcut paintings and experienced the making of woodcut painting. In Yangjiabu Kite Museum, the kites are rich in themes, beautiful in shape and vivid in the image. In particular, "Dragon Head Centipede", the most representative kite in Weifang, left a deep impression on the international students.
