From August 30th to September 2nd, USTB successfully completed the registration for 3,437 new undergraduates and 4,202 postgraduates. Led by the Party Committee Office and the Office of the President, all departments and colleges work together to make full preparations in epidemic prevention and control, venues and facilities, service guarantees, and humanistic care to ensure the safe, orderly, and efficient implementation of welcome work.

The school strictly implements the relevant requirements of the superiors on returning to school in autumn and conducts online approval in advance to verify the application materials. After passing the application materials, the passcode will be formed and use to enter the campus. Disinfection points will be set up at each gate on the registration day for students to disinfect their luggage. Temperature measurement points will be set up at all gates and registration entrances, pay close attention to abnormal conditions, make timely response to special case, and effectively eliminate risks and hidden dangers. For freshmen from other places with high-risk areas outside of Beijing, arrangements will be made to move into health observation points in each campus in advance and organize nucleic acid tests in a unified manner. Anti-epidemic materials will be distributed to freshmen, such as masks and anti-epidemic materials to guide new students to raise their awareness of epidemic prevention.

The Department of Student Affairs set up a "green channel" at the registration site to provide consult services for new students with financial difficulties, give out love packages and condolences, and handle the procedures of deferment of tuition fees and student loans to achieve targeted funding services. The Department of Admission and Career Service set up spots at the orientation site to efficiently perform the verification and qualification review of new students. The University Hospital earnestly organizes physical examinations for freshmen and makes online appointments and on-site organization work.
