The closing ceremony of the 2021 Youth College Science Camp in The University of Science and Technology Beijing was held in the staff auditorium. Ms. WANG Li, the secretary of the Communist Youth League Committee, 120 offline campers, 180 online campers, 30 leading teachers, more than 50 science and technology counselors and volunteers attended this ceremony.

The closing ceremony reviewed the six days of science camp learning and life in a video and awarded certificates to the winning classes and outstanding campers of the Smart Car Competition. Mr. ZHOU Mengyuan and Mr, LI Zhenan spoke on behalf of the science campers and counselors respectively, describing what they had gained from their science camp life and sharing their insights of the science and innovation.

On behalf of the school, Ms. WANG Li presented the Certificate of Completion to the campers' representatives and encouraged them to establish their dreams of science and technology, youth and China, and welcomed them to actively apply for the USTB. After the closing ceremony, a farewell party was held. Each class prepared a colorful program, which fully showed the campers' style.

Three hundred high school students from Beijing, Tianjin, Henan, Ningxia, Yunnan, Tibet, Xinjiang, Qinghai and other cities participated in this activity through online and offline ways with the leading teachers. Our school set up a working group by the Communist Youth League Committee, Party and School Office, Prevention and Control Office, Logistics Group, Natural Science Basic Experiment Center, Security Office, Information Office, Recruitment Office and relevant colleges, with the theme of "Dreams bloom in the shell". The working group carried out the activities online and offline at the same time after coordinating the design, recruited 31 science and technology counselors and more than 120 volunteers. The online campers were sent STEAM education resource packages such as smart cars and electromagnetic engines to ensure the smooth implementation of the activities.

During the camp, we held 30 events with 65 hours of lectures. In the face-to-face meeting with famous masters, Academician HU Zhenghuan gave a lecture entitled "Research, Development and Industrialization of High-Efficiency Green Shaft Rolling Technology", calling on the campers to set up ambitious dreams and aspire to serve the country with science and technology. In the Science Zero Distance activity, the campers visited two national key laboratories of Metallurgical State Heavy Industry and Materials State Heavy Industry, experiencing the charm of science in the Basic Experiment Center of Natural Science, and the achievements of precise poverty alleviation through VR video in Marxism College. In the Exploring Innovation Source event, the campers made electromagnetic cannons, water rockets, Lego robots, electronic game machines, and experienced metallurgical experiments and pottery. In the Science and Technology Junior Show, the Smart Car experience course was prepared by the Mechanical College for both online and offline campers. The campers made a prototype smart driving machine in the full 12 class hours, learning in-depth knowledge of programming and mechanical structure, and showing the technology style of contemporary youth through the Smart Car competition.
