Good Performance Achieved by USTB in the Beijing 2021 Outstanding College Students’ Entrepreneurial Teams Selection

The Beijing Municipal Education Commission recently announced the results of the 2021 Outstanding College Students’ Entrepreneurial Team Selection. Participating teams from USTB won 3 first prizes, 4 second prizes, and 11 third prizes, a total of 18 teams got the award, ranking first among all universities in Beijing. Meanwhile, USTB continues to win the “Best Organization Award” this year.

It is said that this year, a total of 61 universities and post-graduate training units in Beijing recommended 1920 teams, and finally 149 outstanding entrepreneurial teams were selected.

In order to organize the students’ entrepreneurship team of USTB to participate in this selection, in early April, on the basis of fully exploring the entrepreneurship teams from all schools (postgraduate training units) the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center, together with the Youth League Committee, mobilized the excellent teams from the Cradle Cup, Challenge Cup technology competition and other projects, recommended a total of 64 teams to participate in the selection.

At the same time, continued to strengthen the team training and guidance, specially invited relevant experts to give a number of lectures to the registered teams, and finally passed the city competition expert online evaluation, semi-finals and on-site finals. In the end, the three teams of "Titanium Technology", "Combine Toughness with Softness—High-energy Flexible Lithium Battery for Wearable Devices" and "BE-3D Breast Cancer Detector" won the first prize.

"The Bright Future—High-energy Modular Battery Based on High Nickel Ternary Cathode Material", "Platinum—the Leader in New Technology for Precious Metal Regeneration", "Rotary Intelligent Fire Fighting Robot" and "Carbon Material Technology—Low-cost Neutral Negative Carbon Building Material Manufacturers" won the second prize.

Eleven teams won the third prize, including the "Trinity Solution for Cadmium Pollution in Farming Areas with Environmental Protection Technology of Qingnongyuan", "Light Technology—Leader in Flexible Graphene-based Heating Industry" and "Healing-Man Automatic Elbow Rehabilitation Device".
