A variety of wonderful performances were delivered during the ceremony, including dances, martial arts performances, songs, stage plays and musicals. While admiring at these dance performances, poetry recitations as well as calligraphy and painting exhibitions, both teachers and students felt the charm of traditional culture and had a thorough comprehension of the national spirit.

Afterwards, Prof. ZANG Yong, Prof. YU Chengwen, Mr. SHENG Jiawei, Mr. HE Jin, Associate Prof. ZHAO Baoyong and Prof. Peng Qinghong unrolled a commemorative scroll together, marking the opening of the festival.

After the opening ceremony, participating teachers and students attended the garden carnival to tour and experience a variety of traditional cultural activities. The theme of this year’s carnival was “A Tour of the Red Boat with a History of One Hundred Years” and activities included reenactments of historical events, quizzes and competitions. Through these immersive, interactive and experiential activities, the carnival vividly exhibited Chinese traditional culture, the development history of the CPC as well as the history and characteristics of USTB. It also made use of elements of traditional culture within the campus, inherited cultural genes and displayed the depth, profundity and delicacy of Chinese traditional culture.
