On February 18^th, a delegation led by Mr. SUN Xianzhong, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress of the Xizang Autonomous Region and Vice Chancellor of Tibet University, visited USTB for research and exchange. The delegation included Prof. ZHENG Anyang and Prof. CHEN Tianlu, both Vice Presidents of Tibet University, as well as Mr. XIAO Cheng, Director of the Organization Office of the CPC Tibet University Committee.

Representing USTB were Mr. WU Guilong, Vice Chancellor of USTB; Prof. SUN Jinghong, Vice Chancellor of USTB; Prof. PENG Qinghong, Vice President of USTB; Prof. WANG Weicai, Deputy Director of the University Council and Former Vice President of USTB; Mr. SHENG Jiawei, Director of the Organization Office; and Mr. CAO Guangyuan, Director of the United Front Work Office of USTB Committee of the CPC. The event was also attended by leaders from relevant departments and faculty representatives from both institutions.

At the meeting, Mr. WU Guilong expressed gratitude to Tibet University for its long-standing support of USTB’s development and its care for cadres, faculty, and students involved in aid programs in Xizang. He briefly introduced USTB’s recent achievements and emphasized the importance of leveraging the strategic cooperation agreement, building on each institution’s strengths, enhancing communication and exchanges, expanding areas of collaboration, and advancing joint projects. He hoped both sides would contribute further to Xizang's economic and social development and the cultivation of high-caliber talent.

Mr. SUN Xianzhong highly praised the achievements of USTB’s cadres, faculty, and students involved in aid programs in Tibet. He reviewed the fruitful outcomes of past collaborations and provided a brief overview of Tibet University’s history and development. Emphasizing the strong friendship and promising prospects between the two universities, he called for deeper, more practical cooperation in the future. He encouraged both sides to enhance collaboration in disciplines, talent cultivation, faculty development, scientific research, and campus digitalization, striving for more high-quality outcomes and advancing the growth of both universities.
