On September 17th, the Opening Ceremony of the USTB-BAIC Management Ability Improvement Training Course for Leading Cadres was held in BAIC Group. Mr. HAN Yonggui, Vice Chancellor of BAIC Group, Mr. GONG Yueqiong, Deputy General Manager of BAIC Group; Mr. WANG Jianping, Director of Organization Department of the CPC, BAIC Group; Mr. XIE Wei and Mr. HU Hanjun, Assistants of General Manager, BAIC Group; Prof. YAN Xiangbin, Vice President of USTB, Prof. HE Minqing, Former Vice President of USTB, and Prof. GU Wei, Dean of the School of Economics and Management attended the ceremony. Middle-level cadres of BAIC Group, "789" outstanding young cadres, and teachers' representatives from the School of Economics and Management attended the ceremony online and offline. The opening ceremony was presided over by Mr. GONG Yueqiong.
Prof. YAN Xiangbin addressed the ceremony on behalf of USTB
At the opening ceremony, Prof. YAN Xiangbin first delivered a welcome speech. He congratulated and welcomed the training course students, and introduced the development history and achievements of the School of Economics and Management, USTB. He pointed out that the university has maintained good school-enterprise cooperation with BAIC Group in the research and development of automotive steel materials, construction of Academician workstations, training of young cadres, and other fields. He hoped that the training course would promote exchanges between talents and science & technology, raise the level of bilateral cooperation to a new level, and promote the two sides in making achievements and development in the new era.

Mr. WANG Jianping introduced the overall arrangement of the training course and read out the list of course committee members. He encouraged all students to "enter the campus, return to the classroom, " keep a correct learning attitude, abide by attendance discipline, and correctly handle the conflict between work and study.
Issuing admission letters and learning materials
Subsequently, the leaders of both sides issued the admission notice and learning materials to the student representatives. Mr. PAN Hao, Vice Chancellor and Executive Deputy General Manager of Beijing BAIC Rocar Automobile Services & Trade Co. Ltd., spoke on behalf of the participants. He said that all the participants would strengthen their overall perspective and keep in mind the mission of participating in the training. Be strict with yourself and complete the learning tasks; Pay attention to the transformation of achievements, accelerate the improvement of ability, and successfully complete the learning task.

After the opening ceremony, Prof. XIE Kehai, an Adjunct Professor at USTB as well as President and CEO of the Founder Group, gave the first lecture of the opening term - “The Basic Logic of Managing Talents.”
