On the morning of May 21^st, "Meet at USTB to Dream about the Future" USTB 2023 Campus Open Day and Joint Consultation for College Admission was held in USTB Olympic Square. Institutions such as Beijing University Student Employment and Entrepreneurship Guidance Center, Beijing Education Examination Service Center, and more than 70 universities in and outside Beijing attended the event, including Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Nanjing University, Nankai University, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Beihang University, Beijing Institute of Technology, Renmin University of China, Beijing Normal University and so on.

Nearly 3,000 students and their parents from Beijing and surrounding areas walked into USTB to learn about each university's admission policies and majors. The event was also broadcasted simultaneously on the USTB official account of WeChat Channel, Douyin, Kuaishou, Bilibili, WeChat Channel of Beijing Examination News, and Beijing Network Radio and Television Station, attracting more than 400,000 viewers.

Prof. YU Chengwen, Vice Chancellor of USTB, Prof. CAO Wenbin, Associate Dean of the USTB School of Materials Science and Engineering, and Ms. HAN Ningning, Associate Dean of the USTB School of Intelligence Science and Technology, introduced to the media the highlights of USTB’s enrollment, policy changes and the addition of separate enrollment majors this year. Mr. LV Chaowei, Director of the USTB Department of Admissions and Career Services, presided over the media publicity. CCTV, Beijing News, Beijing Daily, and other more than 10 media reported the consultation and the 2023 enrollment policy of USTB.

Special lecture on enrollment

Ms. WANG Lihong, Associate Director of the UST Department of Admissions and Career Services, introduced the overall situation, advantages and characteristics of USTB to students and their parents at the special enrollment lecture. Prof. CAO Wenbin introduced the advantages of USTB’s materials science and the program of elite talent cultivation.

More than 90 teachers and more than 100 student volunteers from USTB provided warm and thoughtful consultation and explanations to the parents attending the meeting.

In order to facilitate students and parents to learn more about universities, USTB also opens the University History Museum, USTB Library, student dining halls, student dormitories, teaching buildings, and some laboratories so that visiting students and parents can really understand the daily learning and life of students in USTB.
