A Delegation from the Northeastern University School of Metallurgy Visited USTB for Investigation and Exchange

Recently, Prof. LIU Chengjun, Dean of the Northeastern University (NEU) School of Metallurgy, led a team to USTB for investigation and exchange. Prof. JIAO Shuqiang, Vice President of USTB and Deputy Director of the National Key Laboratory of Green and Low Carbon Steel Metallurgy, and Prof. ZAHNG Jianliang, Dean of the USTB School of Metallurgical and Ecological Engineering, participated in the activity.

Visiting the experiment center

The delegation of Prof. LIU Chengjun went to the Metallurgical Experiment Center for a visit and exchange. Prof. SHI Zhongning and Prof. DOU Zhihe, Associate Deans of the NEU School of Metallurgy, had an in-depth exchange on laboratory construction and management with Prof. LIU Xiaoming, Associate Dean of the USTB School of Metallurgical and Ecological Engineering.

Discussion and exchange at the SKL

At the State Key Laboratory of Green and Low Carbon Steel Metallurgy (SKL), Prof. JIAO Shuqiang introduced the laboratory; Prof. YANG Shufeng, Associate Director of the Laboratory, had an in-depth exchange on issues such as laboratory reorganizing and discipline development.

Prof. LIU Chengjun presented NEU’s 100th anniversary souvenir

At the School of Metallurgical and Ecological Engineering, Prof. ZAHNG Jianliang welcomed the arrival of Prof. LIU Chengjun's delegation and introduced the work of the School. The two sides conducted a discussion on issues such as the construction of a metallurgical talent cultivation system and the evaluation mechanism of scientific research and innovation team construction, trying to explore the development plan and important measures of the central task in the current era and exchanging experience on key issues concerned by teachers and students.

Visiting the University History Museum

In the end, both sides went to the University History Museum and for a visit. With the detailed introduction and explanation of the student guide, they learned the construction and development history of USTB, as well as the university's development process and achievements in the past 71 years.
