Tobacco smoke contains at least 69 carcinogens, hundreds of toxic substances and more than 7,000 chemicals. Even small amounts of second-hand cigarette can cause irreversible health effects, especially for children. Since 1989, the World Health Organization (WHO) has designated May 31 as World No Tobacco Day, to draw the attention of the international community to the harm of tobacco on human health.
To create a smoke-free campus, "No Smoking" leaflets are posted in many places in USTB.
Let's work together for a smoke-free USTB!
