The Delegation of Senior Representatives of Indonesia Visited USTB for Communication and Exchanges

On June 12th, Prof. Satryo Soemantri Brodjonegoro, Special Advisor to the Coordinating Minister for Innovation Policy and Industrial Competitiveness; Prof. Yohanes Surya, Special Advisor to the Coordinating Minister for Information and Technology;  and Mr. Yudil Chatim, Education and Culture Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy in China, led the delegation of eight came to USTB for exchanges and visits. Prof. LYU Zhaoping, Vice President of USTB, attended the meeting and met with the delegation.

At the meeting, Prof. LYU Zhaoping introduced the basic situation of USTB and the cooperation between the school and Indonesia. Senior representatives of Indonesia spoke highly of USTB's teaching facilities, faculty, discipline construction, and scientific research achievements. The two sides reached a preliminary consensus on educational exchanges and cooperation, which will be carried out in the fields of talent cultivation, international industry, academia, and research.

After the meeting, the delegation of Indonesian senior representatives paid a visit to the University History Museum to gain a deeper understanding of the development history of the school and the achievements of education and teaching. They appreciated the long-running history of USTB and its profound cultural heritage and believed that USTB's experiences and practices were worth studying and learning from.

Indonesia is a significant cooperation partner of China in constructing "the Belt and Road" Initiative. Through this visit, the delegation of Indonesian senior representatives learned about the condition of USTB more comprehensively, which lays the solid foundation for future educational cooperation and development. The two sides expressed the willingness to further strengthen communication and cooperation in the field of education, jointly prompting the development of education in China and Indonesia.
