On September 30^th, the unveiling ceremony of the USTB Kindergarten, Xueyuan Road Branch (hereinafter referred to as “the Branch”) was held as scheduled. Mr. ZHENG Peng, Secretary of CPC Working Committee at Xueyuan Road, Haidian District, Mr. YANG Baohua, Director of the Management Center at Xueyuan Road School District, Mr. WU Guilong, Chancellor of USTB, Prof. LV Zhaoping, Vice President of USTB, and personnel in charge of relevant departments of the university, representatives of teachers and staff, representatives of students' parents, and all staff of USTB Kindergarten attended the ceremony.

Ms. SONG Yumei, the principal of USTB Kindergarten, expressed her gratitude for the concerns and guidance given by leaders at all levels, the full support of all departments of the university, and the hard work of all teachers and staff in the kindergarten. She introduced the stages of preparation of the Branch to the participants and said that the Branch would give full play to its own advantages, forge ahead, be brave in innovation, and welcome every kid’s arrival with love, sincerity, and patience. The Branch will work with parents and leaders at all levels to create the best beginning for every child’s school life, and to make new and greater contributions to the preschool educational cause of USTB.

Mr. YANG Baohua gave a speech

In his speech, Mr. YANG Baohua highly affirmed the preparation work for the construction of the Branch and said that the opening of the Branch further expanded the high-quality preschool education resources of the Xueyuan Road School District. The School District will continue to give full support to the running of the Branch, and jointly solve the schooling worries for the faculty members and residents within USTB.

Mr. ZHENG Peng, on behalf of the CPC Working Committee and Office in Xueyuan Road, extended warm congratulations on the successful opening of the Branch. He pointed out that kids are the most fundamental hope of a country and a nation. Preschool education is the beginning of lifelong learning. It is the requirement of the times and the expectation of the country to develop high-quality preschool education and to make children receive scientific and high-quality basic education from childhood. He said that Xueyuan Road District would pay more attention to the shaping of educational scenes, provide more abundant resources for the educational cause in its jurisdiction, and hoped that all parties could work together to build the golden name card for the Xueyuan Road School District.

In his speech, Prof. LV Zhaoping expressed his gratitude to the Xueyuan Road District and the School District for their concern and support for the preschool educational cause of USTB. He pointed out that in order to meet the needs of preschool education for the children of young teachers and staff of USTB and help ease the problem of school-age children entering the kindergarten in this district. USTB actively planned and fully investigated, revitalized resources, enhanced the supply of high-quality degrees, and successfully built the Branch with the cooperation of all departments. Prof. LV said that the achievements made by the USTB Kindergarten over the years have played an important role in supporting the university to strengthen the introduction of talents and the construction of the faculty team. He hoped that the Branch would further refine the cultural connotation of USTB Kindergarten, strive to build a high-quality kindergarten brand with USTB characteristics, continue to play the exemplary and leading role as a first-class kindergarten in Beijing, actively support preschool education in the Haidian District, and develop the education that people are satisfied with.

The leaders and representatives of parents visited the indoor environment of the Branch and listened to the staff's detailed introduction. During the visit, Mr. WU Guilong stressed that we must adhere to the idea of putting the health and safety of teachers and students first place, strengthening safety management, and paying attention to epidemic prevention and control in the kindergarten to ensure a stable and orderly teaching environment.

The Xueyuan Road Branch

The USTB Kindergarten is a full-time public kindergarten with a history of 69 years. It was founded in 1953 and was rated as the first-class kindergarten in Beijing in 2003. In recent years, under the leadership and support of the university and education authorities at all levels, USTB Kindergarten has won many honors, such as "Beijing Demonstration Base of Preschool Education ", " Model Kindergarten in Haidian District ", etc. The school-running quality of Kindergarten has been steadily improved, early preschool education has achieved remarkable results, and the satisfaction of children and parents has always remained at a high level.

The Branch covers a total area of 2,665 square meters. There are 11 teaching classes in total, which can accommodate more than 300 children.

Kindergarten teachers

The space arrangement in the kindergarten is reasonably planned according to the age characteristics of the kids, which is safe and kids-friendly. The Branch is equipped with hot water, heating, central air conditioning, a fresh air purifier system, and a water purification system to meet the needs of kids’ growth and development. The outdoor activity site is equipped with a variety of medium and large-sized toys, such as climbing, balance beam, slide, etc. The indoor activity room is equipped with a piano, multimedia teaching, and preschool education interactive all-in-one machine, as well as a variety of small educational toys, and children's picture books, so that children can learn and grow happily in entertainment. The Branch has a team of high-quality young teachers who are professional and dedicated to their work. With the goal of creating "first-class facilities, first-class teachers, first-class healthcare, and first-class management", in order to create a first-class kindergarten that parents trust.

According to the unified deployment of the USTB Party Committee, since the launch of the Branch preparation project, the USTB Kindergarten, together with relevant departments, has focused on top-level design and scientific planning, promoted the preparation work by category, and seize every minute and second to create a comfortable living and education environment for children with high standards, high requirements, and high quality. The Party Committee discussed the project every month to promote its implementation. The university leaders visited the Branch many times to guide the preparation work and held on-site coordination meetings regularly with heads of relevant departments for the preparation work, the leaders worked together to effectively promote the implementation of various work, so as to ensure that the construction of the Branch was completed on schedule and opened on time.
