On March 14th, a delegation led by Prof Hai-sui Yu, Provost and Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Leeds, visited USTB. Prof. YANG Renshu, President of USTB and Prof. JIAO Shuqiang, Vice President of USTB attended the meeting, during which both parties held a signing ceremony for the cooperation agreement. The symposium was presided over by Prof. JIAO Shuqiang.

Prof. YANG Renshu reviewed his visit to the University of Leeds in June last year and introduced USTB's latest progress in discipline development, talent cultivation, and international cooperation and exchange. He emphasized that USTB continues to innovate in the internationalization of higher education talent cultivation and supports outstanding students in pursuing further studies at high-level overseas institutions. He expressed hope for continued in-depth exchanges between the two universities, focusing on joint training of innovative talents, strengthening research collaboration and faculty exchanges, and further enriching the cooperation.

Prof. Hai-sui Yu expressed high admiration for the development and school-running philosophy of USTB in recent years and highlighted the strengths and characteristics of the University of Leeds' Business School and the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences. He noted that the University of Leeds places great importance on the development of interdisciplinary teaching and research and shares similar educational philosophies with USTB, particularly in talent cultivation, presenting opportunities for further pragmatic cooperation in the future.
