The assembly of the whole school kicked off the four-hour “China Day”. The pupils marvelled first at the Guzheng performance by CI full-time teacher Ms.HAN “Vera” Guangxian, and then at the Tai Chi fan dance performed by the CI teachers.

After that, the assembly broke out into groups to experience the CI’s five workshops in turns: Chinese calligraphy, paper cutting, Tai Chi fan dance, shuttlecocks, and Beijing opera facial mask painting. All the pupils enjoyed the day of immersive Chinese culture experience.

To the CI teachers’ surprise, the pupils presented more than 30 hand-made cards to them as tokens of their appreciation of “China Day”. The day was also highly appreciated by the headteachers. They expressed wishes for more such collaboration with the CI in the future.
