On May 31^st, Prof. ZHANG Weidong, Vice President of USTB led a delegation to Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) and Xidian University (XDU) to carry out research and survey.

Symposium at XJTU

At XJTU, Prof. ZHANG Weidong and his delegation visited the University History Museum to learn about the “Westward Relocation Spirit”, and communicated with Mr. HUANG Zhongde, President Assistant of XJTU, and relevant leaders of the Institute of Science and Technology of XJTU. They learned about the work experience and excellent practices of XJTU in scientific research talent cultivation, R&D projects incubation, R&D platforms construction, etc. Prof. ZHANG Weidong expressed his gratitude for the comprehensive and detailed introduction of XJTU and said that he hopes to learn from the construction experience of XJTU, new fields new tracks can be opened for the development of USTB, and constantly shape new driving forces and new advantages for development.

At XDU, Prof. ZHANG Weidong and his delegation communicated with Prof. LIU Hongwei, Vice President of XDU, and relevant personnel of the Department of Science and Technology about talent distribution, cultivation of national major scientific research projects, transformation of scientific and technological achievements, etc. Prof. ZHANG Weidong expressed his thanks to the leaders and comrades of XDU and said that he hoped to continue to deepen the field of cooperation between the two universities, strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the two universities, learn from good practices, and integrate into the overall national development situation.
