On the afternoon of August 26^th, Mr. WU Guilong, Chancellor of USTB, Mr. DAI Jinggang, Vice Chancellor and Secretary General of the Discipline Inspection Committee, and Prof. YU Chengwen, Vice Chancellor of USTB, led a team to inspect the university’s gates, WanXiu Dining Hall, Linjinbao Express Service Centre, Wumart, University Hospital and USTB Gymnasium orientation point. Through field inspection, listening to reports, and having exchanges, they learned in detail about the implementation of the work of personnel verification, check-in route arrangements, staff deployment, material guarantee, and visited the front-line staff. Mr. WU Guilong pointed out that given the seriousness and complexity of the COVID-19, the prevention and control of the pandemic is the top priority for the work of returning to school in autumn. It is also a key link in maintaining campus safety and stability. All units should put the prevention work in the first place, effectively fulfill the main responsibility, and implement the prevention and control measures, to ensure a smooth return to school and an orderly orientation.

On the morning of August 23^rd, Prof. YANG Renshu, President of USTB, led a team to visit the post at the school gate, YiFu Building, Experimentation Building, Library, HongBo Dining Hall, USTB Gymnasium orientation point, community center, and the Affiliated Primary School of USTB to check the implementation of the work of returning to school and orientation and visit the front-line staff. He pointed out that in the face of COVID-19, we should strengthen the verification of teachers and students returning to school and promote epidemic prevention before returning to school, guide them to further enhance their awareness of protection, and make sure the health monitoring and nucleic acid testing go well after they return to school. We should pay more attention and care for teachers and students who cannot return to school for the time being due to COVID-19, and at the same time, we should make good use of the stockpile of prevention and living supplies, and complete the renovation of facilities as soon as possible to create a safe, comfortable and beautiful environment.
