On October 10th, Mr. GAO Yunchao, Associate Head of the Beijing Olympic Development Association (BODA), and his delegation visited USTB for communication and exchange. Prof. YU Chengwen, Vice Chancellor of USTB; Mr. SHI Liwei, Director of the Department of Student Affairs; and Ms. JU Yang, Deputy Director of the Management Center for Gymnasium and Stadium, attended the meeting.
Prof. YU Chengwen made a remark
At the meeting, Prof. YU Chengwen extended a warm welcome to the visit of the BODA and introduced the history of USTB founding, talent cultivation, and physical education. He pointed out that USTB has a deep history with the Olympic Games, always adheres to the Olympic spirit and sports culture, and uses the Olympic spirit and Olympic culture to guide students to hone their iron-like mentality. USTB actively promotes the deep integration of campus sports tradition and modern Olympic culture, and he hopes that the two sides can form a joint force in the future in cultural inheritance, publicity, display, education demonstration, etc., to further stimulate the new connotation of the Olympic spirit and sports spirit in the new era, and innovate new forms of Olympic education in colleges and universities.
Mr. SHI Liwei made a speech
Mr. SHI Liwei introduced the implementation plan of USTB's "iron and steel spirit" education action in the new era and the utilization of the Olympic heritage. He mentioned that USTB has always encouraged young students to participate in the Olympic Games and sports, integrating the Olympic culture and the champion spirit into the school's education work and building a platform for communication and interaction between Olympic champions and young students. He said that the school will use the material and spiritual resources of the Olympic Games through multi-departmental linkage in the future to create a demonstration highland to educate people about culture and sports.
Mr. HOU Kun made a speech
Mr. HOU Kun, a member of the IOC Culture and Olympic Heritage Commission and member of the International Coubertin Commission, expressed his appreciation to USTB for actively promoting the Olympic spirit and shared the experience of inheriting and utilizing the Olympic heritage. He said that from the Summer Olympics to the Winter Olympics, there are USTB members' contributions and figures, and more than 20 years have witnessed the change and development of the school. With its high-quality Olympic resources, USTB can make deep efforts in the reuse of Olympic heritage, the refining of Olympic stories, and the promotion of Olympic culture so as to jointly contribute to the inheritance and promotion of the Olympic culture.

Mr. GAO Yunchao thanked the school for its warm reception and introduced the overall situation of the BODA. He said that as the agency responsible for inheriting the legacy of the Beijing Olympic Games, the BODA adheres to the purpose of "Carry on Olympic Spirit, Build A Better City" and actively organizes and carries out Olympic sports cultural education and publicity activities, aiming at carrying forward the Olympic spirit and promoting the wide dissemination of Olympic culture. He pointed out that the center has contributed to China's experience, played a leading role in the inheritance of the Olympic heritage, and has become an important force in the inheritance of the Olympic heritage. He hopes to deepen exchanges and cooperation with universities through this discussion and build a practice base for Olympic culture education.
At the meeting
During the exchange session, participants had heated discussions and exchanges on the USTB's "Olympic Hall of Fame" series of activities, Olympic education, and Olympic cultural inheritance. Heads of various departments of the BODA shared their experiences and practices on the Olympic Cultural Festival, the utilization of Olympic heritage, and the inheritance of the Olympic spirit.
Visiting the USTB Gymnasium
After the symposium, the BODA delegation went to the USTB Gymnasium for a field visit to understand the development history of the venue and the heritage of Olympic culture and to feel the friendship of the USTB Olympic Games.
