From March 16^th to 17^th, Prof. YANG Renshu, President of USTB led a team to visit Xindu District, Xingtai City, Hegang Group Co., Ltd., and Great Wall Motor Co., Ltd. for research and survey, aiming to promote in-depth cooperation between USTB, local region, and enterprises. Prof. JIAO Shuqiang, Vice President of USTB participated in the activity.

During the visit, Prof. YANG Renshu expressed his gratitude to the local government and enterprises for their long-term care and support and introduced the development of various undertakings of the USTB. He pointed out that USTB has thoroughly implemented the important spirit of President XI Jinping's important reply letters, striving to improve the ability in talent cultivation, teaching, and research. He pointed out that USTB has always gathered local development needs and industrial development needs, and will give full play to the advantages of distinctive disciplinary characteristics, rich scientific research resources, and various types of talent gathering, cultivate more high-quality talents, produce more high-level results, and make positive contributions to serving local economic and social development and industrial transformation and upgrading.

The unveiling ceremony of three institues of USTB in Xingtai City

In Xindu District, Xingtai City, the two sides held the unveiling ceremony of the Collaborative Innovation Research Institute, Intelligent Civil Explosive Laboratory, and Iron and Steel Laboratory of USTB. Mr. WANG Yinming, Secretary of the Xindu District Party Committee, congratulated the two sides on their cooperation and expressed that the two sides will further create a more competitive highland for scientific and technological innovation, talent cultivation, and industrial development through the combination of strengths and advantages.

Site of symposium at the HBIS Group

At the HBIS Group, Mr. YU Yong, the chairman of the HBIS, expressed his gratitude to USTB for its long-term support. He said that HBIS and USTB have continuously deepened the school-enterprise cooperation relationship and achieved fruitful results in tackling major technical problems, leading key technology research and development, and cultivating high-quality talents, pushing bilateral cooperation to a new level. He hoped that the two sides will further strengthen coordination and complementarity, building the industrial scene of HBIS into a training base for talent cultivation and a transformation base for scientific and technological innovation achievements, and making the resources and advantages of USTB a booster for accelerating the high-quality development of HBIS, and promoting continuous breakthroughs in bilateral cooperation. At the same time, he expressed the need to further play the role of the World Iron and Steel Development Research Institute to jointly promote innovative development and green and low-carbon development of the steel industry.

At the Great Wall Motors, Mr. LU Wenjun, Director of human resources department of the company, gave a detailed introduction to the construction and development achievements of Great Wall Motors and its future development direction and affirmed the positive contributions made by our graduates to the development of Great Wall Motors. He hoped that both sides could continuously deepen cooperation consensus, innovate cooperation mechanisms, open up cooperation channels, and further strengthen cooperation in talent cultivation, internship, practical training, employment, and entrepreneurship, and integration of industry, university, and research, and make greater contributions to serving local economic construction and social development.
