From September 26^th to 27^th, Prof. HE Minqing, Associate Director of the Committee of Administrative Affairs at USTB and the Former Vice President of USTB, visited and researched the Henan Tianma Advanced Materials Co (hereinafter referred to as “Tianma”), a USTB alumni enterprise. During the visit, Prof. HE Minqing attended the listing ceremony of the enterprise at Beijing Stock Exchange on behalf of USTB and met with alumni representatives from local governments and enterprises in Zhengzhou, Henan Province.

Prof. HE Minqing delivered a speech at the thanks party. He firstly expressed heartfelt congratulations on behalf of USTB to Ms. MA Shuyun, Chairman of Tianma and alumnus of the Physical Chemistry Class of 1987. She pointed out that since its establishment, Tianma has been focusing on the field of advanced inorganic non-metallic materials for a long time. It is one of the earlier enterprises in China with the ability to independently develop and produce high-performance fine alumina powder and is also a leading supplier of high-performance fine alumina powder in China. In 2021, Tianma was recognized as "a little giant" enterprise which is specialized and sophisticated in producing new and unique products, and won the title of "champion demonstration enterprise in single manufacturing." USTB is pleased and proud of the achievements of Ms. MA Shuyun and her company. Prof. HE said that the successful listing of Tianma signifies that the enterprise will continue to increase its capacity construction and R&D efforts, marching towards the first echelon of domestic fine alumina. He pointed out that in the future, USTB and Tianma can consolidate the existing cooperation on the basis of their respective advantages and characteristics, and further deepen their cooperation in the fields of scientific and technological R&D, technical exchanges, transformation of scientific and technological achievements and cultivation of senior professional talents, etc., so as to make new and greater contributions to promote the high-quality development of the industry.

During the activity, Prof. HE Minqing communicated with the relevant personnel in charge of the Zhengzhou Municipal Government and the personnel in charge of the Party and government of Shangjie District. Accompanied by Mr. HUANG Jianlin, Executive Vice GM of Tianma, Prof. HE visited the production workshop of the enterprise and had a discussion and communication with the main leaders of the enterprise.

During his stay in Zhengzhou, Prof. HE had in-depth communication with alumni representatives of local enterprises and institutions, such as China Agricultural Bank (Henan Province Branch), Henan Provincial Academy of Sciences, Zhengzhou University, SINOSTEEL NMC, Fupoli Furniture Engineering Co and GAODE GROUT PUMP. Prof. HE fully affirmed the alumni's love and gratitude to their Alma mater and hoped that the alumni would actively care, pay attention to, and support the development and construction of USTB, and deepen cooperation with USTB in the fields of student employment, talent cultivation, and cooperation between universities-enterprises-research, etc., so as to work together for win-win development.
