On December 25^th, USTB and Peking University Third Hospital (PUTH) held a signing ceremony of the Strategic Cooperation Agreement. Mr. WU Guilong delivered a remark

Mr. WU Guilong extended a warm welcome to the delegation from PUTH. He briefly introduced the development of USTB in recent years and recalled the deep friendship with PUTH over the past 65 years. He hoped both sides could comprehensively strengthen cooperation and exchange based on the synergistic innovation alliance, centering on the content of the agreement, and strived to create a new situation of mutual benefit and win-win situation.

Mr. JIN Changxiao introduced the basics of PUTH and highly regarded achievements of USTB development in recent years. He remarked that, as friendly units in Xueyuan Road, both sides should further exchange ideas, support each other, enhance friendship, and make greater contributions to a strong science and technology country and healthy China.

Signing the Strategic Cooperation Agreement

At the meeting, Prof. TANG Yida and Prof. ZHANG Weidong signed the Strategic Cooperation Agreement on behalf of the respective sides. The two sides will focus on cross-disciplinary construction and new fields of medical-industrial integration and carry out in-depth cooperation in scientific and technological innovation, achievement transformation, and joint cultivation of talents.

Subsequently, leaders from both sides exchanged views on the implementation of the agreement. Prof. FU Wei extended the signing of the agreement, which would mark a solid step in the deepening of the partnership. He hoped the two sides could give full play to their characteristic advantages, further condense their projects, actively contribute ideas, promote the use of scientific and technological innovation in medical and healthcare scenarios, and create a new paradigm of cooperation between hospitals and universities.

In Mr. WU Guilong's concluding remarks, he put forward clear requirements for the implementation of the agreement and deepening of cooperation and exchange and made deployments for the construction of medical-industrial cross-disciplines. Prof. YANG Renshu extended that as good neighbors and win-win partners, the two sides should further strengthen the combination of medicine and industry, promote multidisciplinary cross-fertilization, take the signing of the strategic cooperation agreement as an opportunity to continuously expand the scope of cooperation, deepen the innovation of the system and mechanism, and further promote the implementation of the cooperation to achieve results.
