USTB Held the Lantern Festival Celebration for Foreign Faculty Members

On the morning of February 23rd, the Lantern Festival Celebration for USTB foreign faculty was held on the 4th Floor at Hongbo Dining Hall. Prof. LYU Zhaoping, Vice President of USTB, attended the event and expressed his regard for USTB's foreign faculty members in Beijing. Prof. ZHANG Dawei, Director of the Office of International Affairs, presided over the event.

In his speech, Prof. LYU Zhaoping fully affirmed the hard work of USTB foreign teachers and extended festive greetings and best wishes. He said that USTB has always attached great importance to and cared for foreign faculty members. At the beginning of the semester, it is hoped that all foreign faculty can fully utilize their strengths and further improve the level of internationalization of USTB.

Foreign faculty members gathered at the celebration to learn and make Yuanxiao, solve lantern riddles, and enjoy the Chinese New Year atmosphere. Many said that through this activity, they experienced the atmosphere of traditional Chinese festivals and further deepened their understanding of Chinese culture.

After the celebration, the Office of International Affairs distributed the Lantern Festival gifts to foreign faculty members and conducted friendly exchanges and close communication. Both sides exchanged festival greetings. In the future, the Office of International Affairs will continue to provide high-quality services for foreign faculty members so as to play an essential role in the internationalization level of USTB.
