On May 16th, Ms. ZHANG Jingping, Vice Governor of Guizhou Province led a delegation to USTB for communication and exchange. On behalf of the Guizhou Provincial Government, Ms. ZHANG Jingping conveyed cordial greetings to the teachers and students of USTB and expressed her gratitude to USTB for its long-term care and support for the development of Guizhou Province. She reviewed the course of cooperation between USTB and universities and research institutes in Guizhou Province, and briefly introduced the basic situation of Guizhou's economic and social development and the intention of further cooperation with USTB. She hoped that through this communication exchange, the two sides would continue to promote cooperation in the construction of university disciplines, the transformation of industry-university-research, talent cultivation, and other aspects, so as to better promote the high-quality development of Guizhou.

Subsequently, Prof. SHI Yunhui, President of Qiannan Normal University for Nationalities, Prof. WU Pan, Vice President of Guizhou University, and Prof. LI Xiaofei, Director of the Higher Education Office under the Department of Education of Guizhou Province, introduced the cooperation needs respectively, and the two sides exchanged views on relevant areas of cooperation.

He gave a brief introduction to the university's career development and talent cultivation and said he would actively support the development of higher education and technological innovation in Guizhou province. He hoped that the two sides could establish a long-term mechanism and jointly build a high-quality platform to strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the construction of advantageous disciplines, joint application of scientific research projects, cultivation of high-level talents, in-depth integration of industry, university, and research, so as to give full play to the advantages of universities in talents, science and technology, and make two-way efforts for mutual benefit.

Prof. ZHANG Jingping said that this symposium fully reflected USTB's support for higher education in Guizhou Province and its emphasis on the economic and social development of Guizhou Province. In the future, according to the practical needs of both sides in career development, the two sides should continue to strengthen exchanges, expand cooperation forms, and effectively promote the implementation of cooperation matters. She sincerely invited teachers and students of USTB to carry out exchange and practice activities in Guizhou to experience the development environment.
