USTB Held a Special Lecture for Campus Safety & Publicity Month

On the afternoon of September 28th, the USTB Department of Campus Security, together with the Internal Security Bureau of Beijing Municipal Police Station, organized a special lecture for Campus Security & Publicity Month, inviting Officer WANG Qi, a First-level Police Supervisor, and Officer GAO Shan, Vice-squadron Leader, to come to USTB to give lectures on drug prevention and the prevention of telecommunications fraud. Relevant leaders of the Internal Security Bureau of the Beijing Municipal Police Station and the Department of Campus Security attended the activity, and more than 100 teachers and students participated in the activity.

Officer WANG Qi explains the drug prohibition knowledge

Officer WANG Qi explained the drugs from three aspects: the definition of drugs, the types of drugs, and the hazard of drugs. She introduced professional knowledge related to drug prohibition from a professional perspective in combination with real-life cases, which further enhanced the student's understanding of the hazard of drugs and improved their awareness and ability of drug prevention.

Officer GAO Shan introduced the telecom fraud in detail

Officer GAO Shan gave a professional interpretation of what is telecom fraud, the types of telecom fraud, and how to prevent telecom fraud in the form of on-site answers based on his practical experience in handling cases. At the same time, he reminded teachers and students that they should not listen, believe or transfer money when facing a situation related to telecom fraud.

As the key activity of Campus Safety & Publicity Month, this special lecture aims to build a “three-dimensional network” of school safety education in an all-around way. Through carrying out safety & publicity education for teachers and students, further strengthens the safety awareness and basic prevention skills of teachers and students effectively guarantees the legitimate rights and interests of teachers and students, and maintains the safety and stability of the campus.
