On April 22, 2022, USTB will celebrate the 70^th anniversary. Since the 70^th anniversary announcement (No. 1) was issued, teachers and students, alumni at home and abroad and people from all walks of life have paid close attention and shown their enthusiastic support and participation, and all preparations for the anniversary have been carried out in an orderly way. In order to further gather wisdom and strength, the celebration theme, logo and special website are announced as follows.

1. Theme of the 70^th Anniversary

Seven-decade efforts to seek truth, century-old spirit to innovate.

Adhering to the spirit of the motto of “Seeking Truth and Promoting Innovation”, showing the promising attitude and the confidence of striding forward to the centennial of the university.

2. Logo of the 70^th Anniversary

The shape of the logo is composed of the number “70”, which inlays the university’s emblem and motto, English abbreviation USTB and the numeral “1952-2022”. The shape is simple and lively. The number “7” is composed of the English abbreviation of USTB and the celebration ribbon. It is implying that USTB has sounded the development horn of building a world-class university with distinctive characteristics with a high attitude of forging ahead. The number “0” is like a bright shell, which symbolizes that USTB has never forgotten the original intention of fostering virtue through education, cultivating talents for the Party and the country.

3. Special Website of the 70^th Anniversary

The website for the 70^th Anniversary of USTB will be officially launched on October 4^th, 2021 at http://70.ustb.edu.cn/ .
