On October 30^th, Mr. TANG Rui, Vice Chancellor of the Guangdong University of Foreign Studies(GDUFS). Led a delegation to USTB for communication and exchange. Prof. YU Chengwen, Vice Chancellor of USTB; Ms. HUANG Xiujuan, Head of the Organization Department of CPC, GDUFS; and relevant personnel from departments on both sides participated in the exchange activities.

During the meeting, Prof. YU Chengwen briefly reviewed the history of exchanges and cooperation between the two universities. He introduced USTB’s efforts to deeply implement the comprehensive reform of the distinctive education model with the “steel spirit” in the new era at its core, guided by the spirit of President XI Jinping’s important reply letters. He emphasized that both sides should strengthen communication and alignment, leverage their respective advantages, open up multi-level cooperation channels, and achieve interconnectivity and complementary strengths to realize mutual development.

Mr. TANG Rui noted in his speech that USTB is a prestigious university with a profound culture, distinct advantages, and features in its field. It has cultivated a large number of outstanding talents for the nation and made significant contributions to the socio-economic development. He stressed that the two universities have always had a solid foundation for cooperation, and going forward, they can deepen their exchanges and cooperation in areas such as talent cultivation and party-building ideological and political work, jointly promoting connotative and high-quality development to the full potential of both institutions.

At the meeting, the heads of relevant departments from both sides conducted in-depth exchanges on aspects, including full and strict governance over the Party, primary-level party building, publicity and cultural work, high-quality talent cultivation, ideological and political work among teachers, and the establishment of the “Big Ideological and Political Education” system.
