On May 9^th, Mr. YU Bo, Editorial Director at the Global Edition of  Qiushi Magazine, and Ms. LI Yanling, Director of the Comprehensive Editorial Department, visited USTB for exchange and communication. Prof. SUN Jinghong, Vice Chancellor of USTB, Prof. PENG Qinghong, Head of the USTB Organization Department of the Party Committee, Ms. YIN Zhaohua, Head of the USTB Department of Public Affairs and Communications, and Prof. ZHANG Ying, Secretary General of the USTB School of Marxism, participated in the activity.

Prof. SUN Jinghong delivered a speech

Prof. SUN Jinghong extended his warm welcome to the  Qiushi Magazine for their visit to USTB for exchange and communication and expressed heartfelt thanks for their long care and support for USTB. He pointed out that, as an official organ of the CPC Central Committee, the  Qiushi Magazine is an important position for the Party Central Committee to guide the ideological and theoretical work in the entire party and the whole country, and great contributions had been made in thoroughly publicizing and explaining Party Central Committee’s major principles and policies, serving the overall interests of the Party and the country, meeting the theoretical demand of the cadres and the masses, and consolidating the common theoretical foundation of the concerted efforts of the whole party and the people of all ethnic groups around the country. He looked forward to a deeper exchange between both sides and hoped that greater achievements can be gained by using the XI Jinping Thoughts on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era to arm the minds, educate teachers and students, and guide practice.

Mr. YU Bo said that USTB had received two important reply letters from President XI Jinping, which fully showed that President XI Jinping and the Party Central Committee attached great importance to higher education, showed their concern for USTB, and also their recognition for the achievements USTB had made in running the school. He highlighted that in recent years, USTB had made great progress in the high-quality development of the construction of Digital Maxism Academy.

At the USTB School of Marxism, the delegation listened to the report of the construction of the Digital Marxism Academy and held a symposium to have an in-depth exchange with personnel from the USTB Department of Public Affairs and Communications, the Organization Department of the USTB Party Committee, the USTB Department of Student Affairs, and the USTB Communist Youth League Committee, as well as teacher and student representatives from the USTB School of Marxism.
