On June 14^th, Mr. ZHI Xianwei, District Mayor of Changping District, led a team to USTB's Changping Innovation Industrial Park to visit the National Center for Materials Service Safety (NCMS). Mr. WU Guilong, Chancellor of USTB, and Prof. ZHANG Weidong, Vice President of USTB, participated in the visit and research.

On-spot investigation

Accompanied by Mr. WU Guilong and others, Mr. ZHI Xianwei watched the introduction video of NCMS and conducted an on-the-spot investigation of large scientific facilities including High-temperature and High-pressure Vapor Environment Test Facility, Atmospheric Corrosion Environment Test Facility, Multiphase Flow Environment Test Facility, Mechano-chemical Coupled Environment Test Facility, etc. Prof. ZHANG Weidong introduced in the whole process and reported the operation of the devices and the achievements in research and development.

Mr. ZHI Xianwei made a speech

During the investigation, Mr. ZHI Xianwei had an in-depth exchange with others on aspects including the needs of the Changping Innovation Industrial Park and the NCMS and listened to opinions and suggestions. Mr. ZHI Xianwei pointed out that in recent years, Changping District has attached great importance to the development of sci-tech innovation enterprises. Through a series of practical measures including the formulation and implementation of policies and the improvement of supporting facilities, the District has constantly improved the business environment for the better, promoting the development and growth of enterprises in Changping District. He hoped that USTB and the NCMS would strengthen their confidence, give full play to their own resources and technological advantages, strengthen talent cultivation and scientific and technological innovation, and further enhance the core competitiveness, so as to make greater contributions to the high-quality economic development of Changping and the building of a scientific and technological innovation highland in Changping.
