Three Non-Party Representatives of USTB Elected as Members of the District-Level CPPCC

After the organization's working routine including recommendation, review, negotiation and nomination, deliberation and decision, Prof. LONG Keping and Prof. LI Lidong of USTB were elected as members of the 11th Haidian District Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), and Prof. WANG Rongming was elected as a member of the 14th Chaoyang District CPPCC.

Prof. Long Keping, male, born in May 1968, currently the Chairman of the Revolutionary Committee of the Kuomintang, USTB branch, PhD in Engineering, professor and doctoral supervisor at USTB School of Computer and Communication Engineering.

Prof. LONG Keping has long been engaged in research on broadband network survivability, Internet theory and technology, optical Internet network management and control technology, wireless mobile communication technology, network applications and new telecommunications services in many universities at home and abroad. Obtained outstanding innovative research results in broadband network survivability, IP QoS and implementation mechanisms, optical Internet architecture and protocols, broadband wireless access technology, etc. Has applied for 7 international invention patents, applied for 134 domestic patents, and submitted standards There are 9 drafts; more than 480 papers have been published in important domestic and foreign academic journals and international academic conferences, of which 90 are included in SCI and more than 200 are included in EI.. Presiding over and undertaking 1 project of the National 973 Program, 1 National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, 6 National 863 Programs, 2 Key Projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 3 General Projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and A total of 16 provincial and ministerial projects.

   Prof. LI Lidong, male, born in March 1972, currently Standing Director of the Beijing Friendship Association For Non-Party Intellectuals, member of the Beijing Federation of Overseas Chinese, Chairman of the Federation of Overseas Chinese of USTB, PhD in Engineering, professor and doctoral supervisor at USTB School of Materials Science and Engineering.

Prof. LI Lidong is currently engaged in the research of new optoelectronic composite functional materials, with rich working experience in the preparation and characterization of optoelectronic devices. He published 150 SCI papers in many internationally renowned academic journals in this field. The research results were selected by journals such as "Adv. Mater." and "Angew. Chem. Int. Ed." as the current "Very Important Paper", "Hot paper", and "Frontispiece" articles. At present, 22 authorized invention patents have been obtained. He mainly undertook major special projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Ministry of Education and the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission and other major special projects. In 2008, he was awarded the New Century Outstanding Talent of the Ministry of Education. In 2014, he won the first prize of the Technology Invention Award of the Ministry of Education. In 2015, he won the second prize of the National Technology Invention Award. He is currently invited to serve as an editorial board member of the American Chemical Society journal:  ACS Applied Materials Interfaces, the American Chemical Society journal:  ACS Applied Bio Materials , and the Nature Series journal:  Scientific Reports.

Prof. WANG Rongming, male, born in June 1969, currently the Chairman of the China Association for Promoting Democracy, USTB branch, Executive Dean & Professor at USTB Institute for Multidisciplinary Innovation, PhD in Engineering, doctoral supervisor.

Prof. WANG Rongming has long been engaged in the characterization of materials by conventional, high-resolution and analytical electron microscopy techniques in tandem with computer image simulations. He was list on Millions of Talent Projects National candidates, honored with “outstanding contribution to the national middle-aged and young experts" title and Enjoyment of the State Council special allowance. 2. He has published over 200 scientific papers in SCI Journals including Nat. Catal., Phys. Rev. Lett., Adv. Mater., Angew. Chem. Int. Edit., Nano Lett., Nano Energy etc., and presented over 60 plenary/Keynote/invited talks in international and national conferences, universities, and institutes. The papers have been cited over 10,000 citations by SCI journals and citation H factor of 55.
