The National School of Elite Engineering Collaborates with BAIC BJEV for Joint Ph.D. and Master's Program in Engineering Discussion Meeting

On December 7th, the National School of Elite Engineering, USTB, organized students in the Joint Engineering Ph.D. and Master's Program for discussion and exchange at BAIC BEJV. Mr. MA Cong, Dean of the School of Advanced Engineering; Prof. ZHANG Haijun, Dean of the National School of Elite Engineering; Prof. WEI Xin, Associate Dean at the National School of Elite Engineering, and other responsible faculty, along with students from the class of 2022 and 2024, participated in the meeting. Mr. JIA Hongwei, Vice Chancellor of BAIC BEJV, Secretary General of the Discipline Inspection Committee, President of the Trade Union, and Mr. CUI Dalong, Director of the Human Resources Department, warmly welcomed the arrival of USTB faculty and students.

During the discussion, both sides engaged in in-depth exchanges regarding the progress of the Joint Engineering Ph.D. and Master's Program. Mr. JIA Hongwei and Mr. CUI Dalong respectively introduced the development history of BAIC BEJV, the overall approach, and the safeguard measures employed by the company for the joint cultivation of engineering Ph.D. and master's students. Mr. MA Cong and Prof. ZHANG Haijun introduced the general situation of USTB, along with the university's initiatives in advancing reforms to cultivate excellent engineering talents.

At the meeting, students from the class of 2022 enthusiastically shared their practical experiences and living-learning situations after entering the enterprise. They established connections with students from the class of 2024, expressing their willingness to assist younger peers in gaining a deeper understanding and insight into professional practices and to help them better plan their studies, practical experiences, and lives. Leaders from both the university and the enterprise encouraged students to draw from excellent experiences, foster high ideals through professional practice, and cultivate solid skills to address real-world challenges, ultimately producing tangible results.

After the meeting, the USTB faculty and students visited the company's Exhibition Hall, display vehicles, and Testing Center to gain insights into BAIC BEJV's series of innovative achievements and future development directions.
