On April 21^st, the day before the 71^st anniversary of USTB, USTB held the unveiling ceremony for the Exhibition Hall of President XI Jinping's Important Reply Letters (hereinafter referred to as the “Exhibition Hall”) at the University History Museum. Mr. WU Guilong, Chancellor of USTB, Prof. YANG Renshu, President of USTB, and Prof. XU Yepeng, representative of senior professors and related personnel attended the ceremony. Prof. SUN Jinghong said that the two important letters from President XI Jinping to all the Pakistani students and senior professors at USTB fully expressed the great importance attached by President XI to higher education in China and is also a great affirmation and encouragement to the development of USTB. He stressed that since receiving the replies, USTB has always taken it as an essential task to study and implement the spirit of President XI Jinping's important reply; guided by this, it has comprehensively coordinated the development of USTB. He pointed out that on the first anniversary of President XI Jinping's reply, USTB decided to prepare for the construction of the exhibition hall to strengthen guidance and deepen learning. He announced that the Exhibition Hall officially opened after two months of intensive preparation.

Afterward, participants visit the Exhibition Hall together. The international students' representatives saw their images on the display board and recalled their feelings at that time again. They were more excited and took photos with the display board one after another.

With the theme of "Remember the original aspiration, cast the backbone of iron and steel,” the Exhibition Hall covers 200 square meters. It is divided into the preface hall and two important replies spirit theme exhibition. The theme plaque is made of metal to remember the responsibility of generations of USTBers in the historical mission of "Strengthening the nation through iron and steel, rejuvenating the nation through science and education.”

The Preface Hall

The Preface Hall displays the original text of two important replies. It shows the national flag of the People's Republic of China, which was raised at Tiananmen Square on April 22, 2022, the day of USTB's 70th anniversary. The 70th anniversary, like the rising national flag, will always be remembered by all of us here at USTB and will provide us with constant spiritual motivation for a brighter future.

Themed Exhibition I

The first themed exhibition shows the enthusiastic study of USTB after receiving the reply, USTB's care for international students and specific measures during the epidemic, the various traditional Chinese cultural activities and practical experiences that international students have participated in, and the efforts and achievements of USTB in internationalization. Among them, the introduction video of the representatives of international students Ruslan Tulenov and Taechinee Prasnakorn, the three foreign professors who won the "Chinese Government Friendship Award,” and the scientific research achievements made by various research teams under the "Belt and Road" Initiative were the most exciting topics. USTB will give full play to the significant positive role of higher education in people-to-people and cultural exchanges between China and other parts of the world by further promoting the implementation of the important reply spirit, further breakthroughs in major research projects, and further improvement in the quality of key tasks, so as to contribute to the strengthening of people-to-people bond and the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.

Themed Exhibition II

The second theme exhibition introduces the education model in the new era created by USTB under the guidance of President XI's important replies and tells the vivid stories of many senior professors' representatives who have been dedicated to teaching. It also shows many "firsts" created by USTB in the history of science and technology and its positive contribution to "promoting the innovative development and green low-carbon development of the iron and steel industry.” Among them, the hand-written textbooks by old professors and the example sand table of Xiong’an New Campus construction on display attracted attention, making people feel the incredible power interwoven between the new and the old, encouraging people to forge ahead. In the future, the young generation of USTB will continue to uphold the school motto spirit of "Seeking Truth and Promoting Innovation" and the fine tradition of "Rigorous Academic Atmosphere, Advocating Practice" and continue to make unremitting efforts for the dream of "strengthening the nation through iron and steel."

An interactive perception corner is set up at the end of the Exhibition Hall. The wall shows the acquaintance and feelings of people all over our country after learning President XI Jinping's two important replies to USTB. The reserved stationery and mailbox look forward to receiving more visitors' insights and suggestions.

The Exhibition Hall will be open all day on April 22^nd, which is the day of the 71^st anniversary of USTB and will gradually open to all students, faculty, and alumni to make reservations.
