USTB Chancellor WU Guilong Leads Delegation to Visit USTB Volunteers at 2020 CIFTIS

On the afternoon of September 8th, Mr. WU Guilong, Chancellor of USTB led a delegation to visit USTB volunteers at the media center of the 2020 China International Fair for Trade in Services, located at the Asia Financial Center.

The delegation met with students volunteering at the traffic security station, reservation services desk, press release station, media services area and interview station. Mr. WU Guilong congratulated the students for their enthusiastic participation during the national conference. He encouraged the students to work hard, be diligent, make full use of what they had learned in class and constantly seek to improve themselves. Mr. WU also advised the volunteers to maintain personal safeguards, and to persist in supporting the prevention and control of the epidemic. During the period of volunteer service, Mr. WU advised the students to take their responsibilities seriously, and to maintain both a good physical and mental state.

On behalf of USTB, Mr. WU and his delegation formally conveyed their regards to volunteers and took a picture with them. Mr. WU expressed his hope that the volunteer students would continue to embody the spirit of USTB and show it to the world.

At the 2020 China International Fair for Trade in Services, from September 3rd to 9th 38 volunteers from USTB participated in the conference, staffing 13 positions with an average of 6.5 volunteer hours a day for a total of 1,739 hours of service. During the exhibition, the volunteers dealt with more than 5,000 inquiries and distributed nearly 10,000 brochures. The volunteers also assisted in organizing several press conferences and guaranteed the efficient work of the media center.
