On November 24th, a delegation of Kasetsart University led by Vice President Khongsak Thiangtum, visited USTB. Prof. JIAO Shuqiang, Vice President of USTB attended the meeting.

Prof. JIAO Shuqiang extended a warm welcome to the delegation of Kasetsart University and reviewed the history of cooperation between the two universities since 2017. He emphasized that USTB attaches high importance to the partnership with Kasetsart University within the framework of educational cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). Building on the existing foundation, he expressed his expectation to further promote in-depth collaboration at the faculty level and expand cooperation in areas of shared concerns such as agricultural technology and talent cultivation, thus injecting new impetus into the partnership and jointly cultivating more high-caliber, inter-disciplinary talents for BRI partner countries.

Vice President Khongsak Thiangtum conveyed gratitude for the warm reception and long-standing support from USTB. He appreciated the fruitful outcomes of the previous collaborations and conveyed Kasetsart University's shared desire to further deepen faculty-level exchanges and cooperation with USTB, looking forward to jointly opening a new chapter in the collaboration between the two universities.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand. Both sides will uphold the principle of openness and win-win cooperation and continue to move forward with concerted efforts. The efforts will not only open a new chapter for the collaboration between the two universities but also contribute wisdom and strength to the prosperity and development of higher education in the Belt and Road partner countries.
Following the meeting, the delegation visited the University History Museum, the National Level Virtual Simulation Experimental Center for Materials, and the State Key Laboratory for Advanced Metals and Materials.
