To implement the spirit of the national TV and telephone conference on employment and entrepreneurship of graduates for higher education institutions, USTB held a meeting on the afternoon of June 9th to promote employment and entrepreneurship for the class of 2022 graduates. All USTB leaders, heads of relevant departments, deans and secretaries of schools and units, special work leaders, and graduation counselors attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by Prof. YANG Renshu, President of USTB, via online and offline platforms.

President YANG Renshu hosted the meeting and gave a speech

Prof. YANG Renshu firstly conveyed the important speech made by Ms. SUN Chunlan and Mr. HU Chunhua, members of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premiers of the State Council, at the national teleconference on employment and entrepreneurship of graduates from higher education institutions and the key tasks of the education system to do a good job in the current situation proposed by Mr. HUAI Jinpeng, Minister of Education at the video conference.

Vice President ZHENG Anyang made a speech

Subsequently, Mr. ZHENG Anyang, Vice President of USTB, analyzed the employment challenges facing our university, informed the current employment progress of our graduates, and put forward the key tasks for the next stage of employment work at the university.

Chancellor WU Guilong made a speech

Mr. WU Guilong, Chancellor of USTB, put forward the requirements and suggestions for employment work in view of the severe situation this year. He stressed that employment is the priority of ensuring stability on six key fronts and maintaining security in six key areas, and leaders at all levels must attach great importance to the employment of college graduates as a political task. The university should do a better job in the  sprint stage of employment to maintain overall stability. He called for, in view of the current severe situation, all units of the university should raise their political standing and deeply understand the great political significance of employment; all units should double the efforts to take care of students, offer timely guidance, and make every effort to solve the difficulties of graduates in studies, employment, and life; all units should integrate the employment with ideological work of graduates to ensure providing better employment services for key groups; all units must guide students, adhere to the fundamental education task of cultivating students’ moral, encourage graduates to serve our country in the most needed places; all units should strengthen the responsibility of all parts, take overall planning, and fully implement the graduation employment project of "handful"  and “full responsibility”. The division of responsibilities, schedule and work requirements should be further clarified, and the faculty leaders, undergraduate tutors, employment teachers, and counselors should work in concert to help students hunt for jobs. The university should continue to promote "Special Actions on employment" by setting up research assistant vacancies and making good use of national policies. At the same time, the university must resolutely put an end to falsification and strictly implement the "Four Nos" policy in employment statistics.

All functional departments and schools of the university should further implement the decisions and arrangements on employment work, take the initiative to carry out solid work, to meet the 20th National Congress of the Party with excellent results.
